Cheesy Broccoli Rice Casserole

1 pkg chopped frozen broccoli
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 small jar Cheese-Whiz
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 stick butter
2 cups cooked rice


This is a delicious recipe from my daughter’s grandmother in-law, Kathy Badger. I have been lucky enough to enjoy this on many Thanksgivings.


Boil onion, celery and broccoli until tender; drain well. Add butter, Cheese-Whiz and soup. Add rice; mix well. Bake for 20-30 minutes in un-greased baking dish at 350 degrees.

*Optional Topping:
Top with mixture of 15-20 Ritz crackers and 3 T. melted butter before cooking.
