Classic Meatloaf

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
½ c. Ritz crackers (finely broken pieces)
1 egg
1 small vidalia onion, finely chopped
1-2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2-3 cloves minced garlic
1-2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. table salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 T. ketchup
1/2 c. whole milk

3 T. apple cider vinegar
3 T. dark brown sugar, packed firm
3/4 c. ketchup



Saute onion, celery in olive oil. Add garlic when rest is translucent season with salt and pepper. Just as mixture is browning turn off heat and mix in Worcestershire sauce.

To make meatloaf, combine meat loaf ingredients and place into a loaf baking dish.
Smooth out top.

To make sauce, combine sauce ingredients and pour on top and sides of meatloaf.

Bake at 350°F about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done.

After cooking 1 hour and 10 minutes, remove from oven and remove 75% of the juices. Place back in oven for last 5 minutes.

If using lean beef, this juice can be added to additional sauce that was previously made.
