Vickie's Haystacks

9 oz. French’s Potato Sticks or any
     brand shoestring potato sticks
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips


These little bundles of addiction,
Vickie makes at the holidays. The
ones shown in the picture are the
usual chow mien noodles. Vickie
makes hers with shoestring potatoes,
which is definitely the way to go.


Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at medium/low heat (stirring occasionally) until smooth and glossy. You can also melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
Add the shoestring potato sticks to a large bowl and pour the melted chocolate over top.
Stir gently until completely combined.
Drop the chocolate-covered shoestring haystacks by heaping tablespoons onto a cookie sheet which has been lined with parchment paper.
Allow the chocolate to set and harden.
