Margarita on the Rocks

 Serves: 1    |     Prep: 5 min     |     Ready: 5 min

INGREDIENTS

2 oz. tequila (1/4 c.)
1 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
     (1/8 c.)
1 oz. lime juice (1/8 c.)
1/4 – 1/2 oz. simple syrup
     (1  1/2 – 3 tsp.)
Cube or medium chunk ice

NOTES

*Some people prefer less lime juice and simple syrup. You need to adjust this recipe to your own tastes.

**Also, if you don’t shake the drink over ice long enough, it will be too strong.

DIRECTIONS

Salt rim of glass if desired then add handful of ice.

Add another handful of ice to shaker and pour in rest of ingredients.

Shake for at least 1-2 minutes.

Strain tequila mixture into glass over the fresh ice. Finish with lime slice.

*If drink is too strong add a splash of sparkling water.
