Serves: 5 | Prep: 5 min | Cook: 30-35 min | Ready: 35-40 min
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix butter, flour, sugar, salt, onion, cheese, and sour cream.
Add drained beans and mix gently.
Pour into 8 x 8 Pyrex casserole, sprayed with cooking spray.
Top with 3/4 – 1 cup Ritz crackers.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the topping is golden, but not burned.
Version 2:2 tsp. melted butter2 tsp. flour1 tsp. salt1 tsp. sugar1/4 tsp. pepper1 small grated onion1 c. sour cream2 (28 oz.) cans French style green beans, drained8 oz. swiss cheese, grated1 c. corn flakes, crushed
Saute onion in butter. Add flour,salt,sugar and pepper. Mix in sour cream, beans and cheese.
Pour into 9×13 baking dish.
Top with cornflakes.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
