Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare pie pan with crust, piercing the bottom and sides slightly with a fork and crimping the edge.
Scatter the pecans and chips evenly over the bottom.

Place on the lowest rack in oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Protect pie edges from over browning with pie crust shields or aluminum foil strips.
